CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 UPDATE

Keeping Our Customers & Team Safe

UPDATE: 4.1.2021

Hi everyone,

A statement released on College of Podiatry

"Confirmation that podiatrists can continue to practise during the new lockdown in England
The Prime Minister announced this evening that in order to curb the spread of the new mutant COVID-19 virus, England will return to a full lockdown with immediate effect.

However, healthcare is not affected, meaning that podiatrists can continue to work. Podiatrists can continue with home visits and treating patients in nursing homes. Patients can still travel for their healthcare needs.

Podiatrists can treat all Red, Amber and Green patients. Priority should be given to Red and Amber patients as much as possible."

Stay safe.

UPDATE: 20.12.2020

Hi everyone,

Following the Government announcement on Friday, this is a reminder that the provision of healthcare is not affected by the COVID-19 tier system.
All healthcare such as podiatry can still practice and see all clients, in particular those of a high risk of foot pain or deterioration, this also includes those who are now under Tier 4 restrictions in England.

Stay safe.

UPDATE: 13.10.2020

Hi everyone,

Following the Government announcement on 12 October 2020 of the three-tier COVID-19 restrictions, the College of Podiatry  has  confirmed that podiatrists can continue to practise and see clients.

This includes:

• Home visits across all three tiers (Medium, High and Very High), Continuing to risk assess all visits with the continued use of correct PPE and infection control protocols,

• I can continue to see all patients (Red, Amber and Green)

The government has also released guidance for those who are officially shielding. If a patient has an official shielding letter and is in a high or very high area then they can still be treated but it is strongly advised this is as a home visit.

As COVID-19 continues to develop and continuing to follow guidance and the new normal. I will always continue to remain committed to adhere to the strictest advice of Public Health England, governmental advice and the College of Podiatry. As a medical practice, I am please to say we will remain open.

I will continually be monitoring the situation and ensuring I am following the latest governmental advice.

Once again, thank you for your continued support and love. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones, and let’s continue to lookout for those around us.
